Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to advance healing and progress toward improved health and wellbeing of both the mind and body through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga. The goals of yoga therapy can be achieved through the identification of the link between mind and body and include eliminating, reducing, and/or managing physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms that cause suffering; improving physical and emotional function; and aiding in the prevention of the occurrence or re-occurrence of underlying causes of illness.
